Snowflakes!

Hello Worthy family!

Snowflakes!
Some people love ‘em, some would rather do without them. I personally think they’re beautiful, and I like them when they fall in bunches from the sky, especially if I’m at home, snuggled in a blanket, with a cup of coffee!

But the real reason why I think snowflakes are so incredible is that everyone one of them is unique. No two flakes are alike, so I’m told. They have glimmer curves and sparkly edges, not two alike! Beautiful!!

Worthy family, we just finished a great week of assessments! Wow! You rocked your PRs! I have a love/hate relationship with assessment week. I love to cheer all of you on, witnessing the amazing progress you have made with all your hard work and consistency! You all inspire me!
Congratulations on a great week!

The part I struggle with is when I compare myself to other’s progress. I get in my head, down on myself for not doing enough. So the areas I don’t PR in (and by the way, it’s unlikely that you will get a personal best in every area during assessments), I battle the ugly self-talk going on in my head! I can encourage others all day, but not myself.

That brings me back to snowflakes, beautiful, unique snowflakes! We are created much like a snowflake, but oh so much more valuable and priceless! Just as no two snowflakes are alike, no two persons are either. We all have strengths, and limitations. To compare ourselves to anyone is a trap that only leads down a dark, defeating trail. I encourage you all to be motivated by the success of others, letting them inspire you rather than discourage you. Celebrate your successes! Remember, we are all made unique, special, beautiful, and one-of-a-kind!

Think about that next time you catch a snowflake in your hand, or on your windshield.

Psalm 139:13-14.
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made!

Matthew 10:30-31
But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore, you are of more value than sparrows. (and snowflakes)

Have a wonderful week!! Merry Christmas!
