Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. -Psalm 37:5-6
"Today, worry less about what is over the horizon or what will happen. You've wasted too many days over worries. Focus on your present place and the very next step ahead. Then trust in God to guide you to the next step, and the next, and the next." -Live Bold-
Too often we look way too far ahead and become overwhelmed by the obstacles that stand in our way of achieving our goals. I had very little confidence in my ability to graduate from college when I entered. Nobody in my family had graduated from college, and only my oldest brother had given it a try to that point. The beginning of each semester was always the same. I would look at everything on the course syllabus and think....nope, not a chance! Then, I looked at ALL the classes that I needed to conquer in order to reach the goal of graduation...Yeah right! Fortunately, I was forced to give it my best shot since I was an athlete and needed to maintain certain grades for eligibility. Once I had survived for a couple semesters, I began to realize that I needed to just focus on one week, one month, and one semester at time. Gradually, I gained confidence, but I genuinely was amazed when I reached graduation day.
I learned how critical it was to have a process that breaks that big scary goal down into small steps. Focus on achieving one small goal at a time, then again, and again, and again. Many of you join Worthy questioning if you can really achieve your goals. Yes, of course you can! Trust the process is what we love to say! One session, one week, one month, one PR at a time. Make some friends and become part of the community and commit yourself to making a lifestyle change and you can do it.
