“We Rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-5
Good Evening Worthy Family!
I’m going to dive right in with a question I want you to ask yourself. Do you value perfection over progress or progress over perfection? Before reading any further,
I want you to honestly look at yourself and answer the question truthfully. Once you have answered the question lets dive a little deeper, “Why?”
If you have a tendency to focus on perfection over progress, it’s time to change your mindset. Expect to stumble along your health journey, but be committed to trying your best day in and day out.
If you have developed the habit of focusing on progress, I encourage you not only to continue with that mindset, but be encouraging to your neighbor who may be struggling with things like self confidence, body image, and perfection.
The truth is we will never be perfect and although, striving for perfection sounds great in theory, it is very damaging to the spirit because we will never be able to fully embrace the journey of being our best selves. So in your journey I challenge you to be:
Patient with yourself
Persistent in your journey
Powerful in your pursuit
One day at a time....
Have a great week!
