Hello Worthy family!
Jeremiah 29:11.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
Wow! We certainly had a long winter! It’s so good to see the sunshine, birds singing, the snow melted and the temps on the rise. The wonderful thing about winter is knowing Spring is around the corner. We have that hope, the confident expectation, that we will see the flowers bloom, the grass become green again, and warmer, longer days.
Commonly when someone uses the word “hope,” what they really are saying is that they “wish” something would happen, like “I hope I can lose weight” is really “I wish I can lose weight.” But in the Bible hope is the confident expectation of what God has promised and in His faithfulness. Its far more than a wish. We can count on it, and we can count on Him.
So as we wait for Spring to officially be here, and we wait for the next step forward in our personal lives, and we put our hope in the Lord, it is so much more than a wish. We have the confident assurance that He has the future, and his plans for us are for good.
My challenge to you is, are you wishing for the future, or do you truly have a hope, a confident expectation, a trust in the One who’s promises are true. What or who is YOUR hope in?
Have a beautiful week!!
