Take Heart!

Worthy Fam! Murray here...

Sorry for the delay.  I've had this devo on my heart for a few weeks now and it's been tough for me to sit down and actually get it out.

Asking for a friend.. do you sometimes think, "Why is it that every time I do a Worthy workout it's so hard?" With each workout as your stats get entered, we figure out your capabilities.  From there, every workout is specifically designed to challenge you and make you better.  Some dive into the workout with ease, others look at it beforehand, or perhaps like me, you have to spiritually, mentally, and/or physically prepare yourself.

Worthy has helped me to become a stronger person spiritually, mentally, and physically.  When the going gets tough are you a fight or flight person? Rather than my usual tendency to flee, my workouts have helped me to learn to fight through the tough.  You know that last 30 seconds of a 2K row or the first round of sprints on an endurance bike workout?

I find that this is true also with my faith walk.  I've had my ups and downs and have been challenged with situations that have me questioning, "Really God? How can I see this through?"  Knowing that He has my back through the good and bad, has taught me to push through and try to see through the tough.  In this life we may be faced with the hardships of natural disasters, sickness, pain, tragedy.. do we walk away from those things or persevere through them? John 16:33 says, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart! I have overcome the world!"

What He tasks us with will not always be easy, but I know that in the end my reward in eternity is worth pushing through the trials I may face.  You have an awesome community of friends within Worthy, too! If things get tough, we will come alongside you to help you through.  Whether it's a workout, a sickness, heartache, HE (and we) are here for you!
