WE ARE OVERCOMERS

After winter comes summer. After night comes dawn. And after every storm, there come clear, open skies. Samuel Rutherford

God will never allow a trial in our life that cannot help us. Yes, it may be painfully difficult to get through, but we are to look ahead and to persevere. He will take that terrible circumstance and turn it into a blessing. He makes beauty from ashes. We may not see it now or right away, but we will in the end. It is a truth we can find in his word.

We are overcomers. Life's obstacles can be scary and bring fear. I believe these obstacles are allowed in our lives to strengthen us. To strengthen us by tearing us down. I know that sounds awfully scary. But think about this, when we work out, we are strengthening our muscles, but by first tearing them down! Yes, our muscles are damaged due to the trauma we place on them during exercise. The size and severity of the tears depend on the exercise intensity. The tearing then activates cells from outside the muscle that rush to the damaged areas to repair and build them. The cells are used to heal and our muscles will rebuild and they will be stronger. This can be compared to the difficulties we endure. Some are more intense than others and cause more damage, and God is there to help us rebuild and heal. If we let Him help us, we will be stronger (and wiser) as a result of it!

So next time you experience diffulties, just remember, you've got this, and you're not alone!

Much love,

“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible. ”
Matthew 17:20 NLT

I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
